HISTORY OF OUR BUILDING
The Full Story
The Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company (A&P) built this Bakery and Warehouse in 1928 as part of their hub and spoke manufacturing and distribution model for the company. For its first 50 years, the company operated as a bakery serving its stores in the area.
After being in business for over 50 years, A&P closed the facility in 1979 and the building fell into disrepair as it was passed from owner to owner. In 2008 the building was purchased by the current owner and was converted into light industrial use. Several manufacturing and assembly companies operated in the building until 2019.
Now, the building is ready for its next life - as a business hub for Louisville’s best and brightest as they build their businesses and careers.
